Georgie took her beautiful mare Willow to her first event at the weekend. We thought it was going to be a small event, but the beautiful weather and fabulous course and location meant that it was actually quite busy!

But Willow stood perfectly taking in all the new sounds, sights and smells, and looked to Georgie for reassurance when she needed it. Georgie understands her so well, she just knows what Willow is thinking and what she needs to calm her. She has such a way with horses that is magical to watch.

Georgie met up with a friend from her work and they had entered a pairs class together. None of us was really sure how Georgie and Willow would get on around the course, and Georgie had friends and relatives stationed at various fences. But there was no need to have had any concern as they flew around! Even the water only took a small bit of persuasion before Willow agreed to go through!

All in all it was a fantastic day
